We feel that it is a great honor when clients entrust us with helping them improve their lives, so we take this responsibility seriously. We pride ourselves on providing a safe environment where honesty is prioritized, and feelings are respected. We strive to improve every day so that our clients walk out the door feeling great, knowing they got our best work.

What We Do

Frequently Asked Questions

Fascial Stretch Therapy

What is Fascia?

Fascia is an elastic type material that surrounds all of our muscles and other soft tissues like a body stocking. The elastic nature of fascia makes it very pliable, returning to its original length
after being contracted or elongated. Experts in anatomy have uncovered distinct lines of fascia that run throughout the body and allow us to move efficiently by coordinating muscles from head
to toe. Fascia is an essential part of every movement we perform, from exercising to tying our shoes, even though most people don’t even know about it. Unfortunately, fascia can become restricted, leading to a whole host of problems.

Does it hurt?

No, FST is pain-free. No more pushing through the pain to see little or no improvement. We assess you from head to toe before we start to make sure that you are only receive the movements that you need. We work with your body and fine-tune the speed and depth of stretches to make sure that you leave feeling great, not beat up.

Why do Fascial Restrictions matter?

Our modern lifestyle typically includes too much time sitting and leads to poor posture and accompanying fascial restrictions. Repetitive motions and trauma are even worse causes of restrictions as they increase the density of our fascia, further impeding the body’s innate healing capabilities. Dense, restricted fascia limits the body’s natural ability to move freely, and this can
lead to impaired circulation and lymphatic flow. When we don’t address our fascial restrictions, we make daily life more challenging and may even contribute to the development of chronic

What occurs during a Facilitated Stretch Therapy (FST) session?

The FST practitioner takes your body into elongated positions that target restrictions along fascial lines. In some movements, you will resist specific motions while the therapist holds your body in a stretched position. This combined effort will break down the dense, restricted fascia by
exceeding its tensile strength. Your body absorbs and excretes the broken down fascia. As a result, your remaining fascia begins to regain its pliability and allows your body to regain its innate movement capabilities. Through a combination of continued FST sessions and active
stretching on your own between sessions, your body will regain its vitality, and it will allow you to perform your daily activities unencumbered by unnecessary restrictions along your fascial lines.

How is FST different than stretching offered at other stretch businesses?

While other businesses provide the same set of stretches for every client that walks in, FST is customized to meet your specific needs. We personally evaluate you and choose from hundreds of stretches to personalize your experience. FST also features techniques found in no other form of assisted stretching – traction, flow, and the NeuroMyoFascia Technique. All these components make FST like no type of stretching you’ve done before.

What will I feel like after my session?

You will feel looser and more flexible at the end of your very first session. Most people tell us that they feel less muscle tension and improved body awareness. Others see immediate improvements in their ability to move and feel like they’ve removed limitations they didn’t even realize they had!

CranioSacral Therapy

What is CranioSacral Therapy?

CranioSacral Therapy is a very gentle, light-touch approach that releases tensions deep in the central nervous system so that every other system in the body can relax and self-correct. It helps you naturally free yourself of pain, stress, and discomfort. It is performed on clients fully clothed on a comfortable massage table

What kind of conditions does it help with?

In jthe Past Year, CranioSacral clients have sought us out for help with the following conditions and issues:

Emotional Trauma from Motorcycle Accident

Dental Surgery Pain

Excess Stress due to Entrepreneurship

Neck Pain

Abdominal Cramping

Cerebral Palsy

Addiction Issues

Frozen Shoulder

Can it be combined with any other types of therapy?

It can be used alone or integrated with other therapies to create powerful effects. For example, we also offer Integrated Intuitive Bodywork sessions. These sessions feature a combination of several different modalities. Instead of focusing on one type of massage to the exclusion of all else, the therapist chooses the right tool needed for what the client needs at this specific moment in time. In practice, this could include any of the following types of bodywork: CranioSacral Therapy, Fascial Stretch Therapy, Reiki, IASTM (tool-assisted work), or Medical Massage.

What will I feel like after my session?

Every experience is unique. Most people feel great afterwards, like awakening from a deep nap without going to sleep. Some people need time to process changes they are undergoing, and they continue to work through things in the days after a session. Others tell us that they feel different in some way that they cannot easily define, as if something has shifted inside them. At the very least, you can expect to feel calmer and less stressed.

what is an “Integrative Intuitive Bodywork” session?

Integrated Intuitive Bodywork sessions feature a combination of several different modalities. Instead of
focusing on one type of massage to the exclusion of all else, the therapist chooses the right tool needed
for what the client needs at this specific moment in time. In practice, this could include any of the
following types of bodywork: CranioSacral Therapy, Fascial Stretch Therapy, Reiki, IASTM (tool-assisted
work), or Medical Massage.

“I recently flew halfway around the world to visit my daughter in Italy. Normally when I travel, my hamstrings tighten up on me. Kathy performed a Fascial Stretch Therapy session on me before I left, and
my hamstrings didn’t bother me at all!”

Toni H., Tempe, AZ

“My teenage son hurt himself diving for a ball at volleyball practice. It hurt to breathe, and we couldn’t get in to see the chiropractor. Mike came over on a Saturday night and did his magic. My son was back to normal by the end of the session! He was smiling for the first time since he got hurt. Thanks Mike!”

Sonja T., Gilbert, AZ

“I seriously injured my elbow when I was a child. I’ve worked around it all my life. With Kathy’s guidance,
I have regained almost full function in my elbow for the first time.”

Eileen C., Tempe, AZ

Mike has been my personal trainer for almost 10 years. I started training with him shortly after my 50th birthday and have been going ever since! For the last several years Mike has become my bodyworker, using Craniosacral Therapy, Reiki, Acupressure, Deep Tissue, Structural Integration and Myofascial Release. Each treatment has been both pleasurable and beneficial. It sounds like a bit of cliché, but Mike continues to be a big part of my healthy mind, body and soul!”

Dawnie S., Gilbert, AZ

“I’m super thankful for meeting Mike & receiving a craniosacral therapy session from him. He knows his stuff; helped educate me on so much, as well as make my first craniosacral therapy session extremely relaxing & interesting. He has brought deeper understanding to my reasons for some of my pains. Even better, throughout our session he helped me communicate my own inner guidance for healing to those areas of pain which is going to help me in the long run! I couldn’t be more grateful &
happy with my experience. Thank you, Mike!”
